Working with the AHA

The Black Humanist Alliance is an affiliate organization of the American Humanist Association. The alliance was created to advance the interests of the Black humanist community and to serve as an advisory council to the American Humanist Association. We are one of four alliances, including the Latinx Humanist Alliance, the LGBTQ Humanist Alliance, and the Feminist Humanist Alliance. More information about these groups can be found here.

About the American Humanist Association

The American Humanist Association has stood as the voice of humanism in the United States for over 70 years. We strive to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life. We are accomplishing this through our defense of civil liberties and secular governance, by our outreach to the growing number of people without traditional religious faith, and through a continued refinement and advancement of the humanist worldview.
